Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for a Food Services Support Assistant at the REOC. The person in this role oversees the POS system, maintains the B-STRO email distribution list and ensures that lunch order payments are collected and records are reconciled daily for cash and credit card totals. The REOC B-STRO is a classroom, a marketing tool, and a restaurant. The Assistant demonstrates a professional manner and provides a positive customer experience with friendly, courteous service while cashing out customers, explaining menu items or sharing information about the facility with guests. Sales reports are managed by the Food Services Support Assistant as well as setting up the cash drawer and making bank deposits on a daily basis. Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in customer service.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of banking or cash management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher.
  • Ability to create flyers, menu boards, signage, invoices.
  • Experience working with a culturally/ethnically diverse population.
  • Experience working with underserved population.
  • Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-lingual
  • Experience working in a post-secondary institution
    Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 11am - 7pm; Friday 9am - 5pm Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $44,374. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
