Job Description:

The Department of Theology at Assumption University (Worcester, MA) invites applications for a two-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Applicants should be demonstrably conversant with the entirety of the Catholic theological tradition and its reception in the patristic, medieval, modern, and contemporary periods.

Candidates must be committed to undergraduate teaching and advising as well as service to the theology department, the university, and the greater community. The ideal candidate would teach introductory and advanced courses in the University's major and minor programs in theology and in the University's core curriculum program. 

The candidate will also have the opportunity to teach courses within their area of expertise.  Candidates must also be able to provide evidence of scholarship.

Requirements:

* Doctorate in theology by the date of hire;

* Experience teaching at the college level; 

* Candidates should actively contribute to the mission of the University and its Catholic and Assumptionist identity;
