Position Description

The Department of Biology at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in Evolutionary Ecology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate relevant courses and to develop an externally funded research program involving graduate students that complements the strengths of our 50+ member faculty. All positions are subject to the availability of funds. Salary and start-up package are negotiable.

Required Qualifications

An earned Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related field with a research emphasis and a record of peer-reviewed publications in Evolutionary Ecology.

Preferred Qualifications

Postdoctoral experience, a record of grant funding to support research, and a track record of integrative research that will foster collaborations with existing and future faculty members at Texas State.
