The Division of Humanities at Schreiner University invites applications for a tenure-track full-time on campus Assistant Professor of English beginning fall of 2023. Specialization is open, but experts in technical communication, freshmen composition, advanced composition, or rhetoric are encouraged to apply. As a generalist, the successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester in general education composition and literature classes (British, American, World) as needed. In addition, he or she may be asked to develop special topics classes in literature for English majors as well as direct undergraduate senior theses.
Qualifications: The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching and to advising at the undergraduate level. Candidates should have or expect to receive their Ph.D. in English before August 1, 2023.
