Job Description

This position is a critical team member within Risk and Insurance Management, a university department responsible for organizing, coordinating, and implementing programs to control risks for all University of Missouri campuses

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the analysis of University risk exposures including gathering underwriting data to make recommendations regarding risk financing
  • Review contracts between the University and outside vendors and determine the scope and provisions of all insurance required by the University
  • Create, analyze and review technical reports
  • Provide consulting services throughout the system relating to the risk mitigation plans and insurance coverages
  • Coordinate and provide oversight with Third Party Administrator claim handlers
  • Analyze, understand and explain policies
  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be organized and have a keen attention to detail
  • Must be able to appropriately manage confidential materials
Salary

$48,900-$80,000/ year

Grade: GGS 10

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related experience
