Required Qualifications

Evaluation of the following required qualifications will be made through 1) descriptions of work and educational experiences in letter of application, 2) record of accomplishments and productivity addressed in CV/resume, 3) clinical case statement and 4) diversity statement.
  1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  2. At least 3 years of experience providing clinical services.
  3. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associate
  4. Eligibility for State of Kansas licensure in speech-language pathology.

Position Overview

The University of Kansas, Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic invites applications for a full-time 12-month non-tenure track faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology beginning as early as June 1, 2023. All and intersecting areas of expertise into basic and applied aspects of communication sciences and disorders will be considered, including but not limited to speech and or language science, disorders, and development across the lifespan in monolingual, bilingual, multilingual, and or culturally/linguistically diverse populations. There is potential to serve as the Director of the Language Acquisition Preschool. The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing ( http://splh.ku.edu/ ) expects its faculty to contribute to the mission and goals of the Department and School in the areas of teaching, scholarship, service and practice.

Cultural and linguistic diversity are central to the field of speech-language-hearing and an integral part of clinical practice as an audiologist or speech-language pathologist. Candidates focused on bilingualism/multilingualism and/or cultural/linguistic diversity and under-representation in these language areas are encouraged to apply.
