The Research Professor/Associate is a research track academic rank for individuals engaged in research and typically assigned minimal or no teaching responsibilities. The prospective research faculty is expected to carry out extensive applied research in Pomology, emphasizing Date palm physiology and Production Management. He is responsible for the technical supervision of all the date palm research activities at the University’s Agricultural Research Station (ARS). The faculty is responsible for the development and support of date palm cultivation.

Minimum Qualifications

· Ph.D. from a reputable University in Agricultural Sciences or related disciplines with a specialization in Pomology

· A minimum of 10 years of experience in date palm research and production management 

· Experience in the latest in-vitro micropropagation and tissue culture techniques strongly desired

· Language abilities: English is required, and Arabic is preferred

· The candidate should demonstrate strong research ability and knowledge in the field with strong technical and communication skills

· A strong record of research grants management, publications, presentations, and student teaching/supervision
