Position Introduction
The Department of Drama at Vassar College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Scenic/Lighting Design beginning Fall 2023.

Position Description
An MFA in Design or Technical Theater is required for this position, and successful candidates will be generalists that can teach both scenic and lighting design. Duties include, but are not limited to, teaching, mentoring student designers, participating in the Vassar College Experimental Theater season, and attending production meetings. A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory, intermediate, and upper-level courses, so evidence of successful college-level teaching should be demonstrated.
