Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Full of history, the area offers a community rich with diversity, the arts, technology, vineyards, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and many other activities.

Germanna Community College is seeking a part-time Enrollment Services Specialist in the office of Admissions. This is a vital role and will provide front desk coverage at the Locust Grove Area Campus. The candidate selected for this position will provide high quality service by assisting prospective and current students with any questions they may have. The Enrollment Services Specialist selected for this position will collaborate with college colleagues to remediate any barriers of prospective and returning students. This position will also aid in the special admissions process of Health Care Technology students, Dual Enrollment students, as well as International Students. Responsibilities will include a review of each Health Care Technology applicant, registration of Dual Enrollment Students, ability to walk an international applicant through the international admissions process, and processing admissions forms such as program changes. This position may require travel between campuses as well as working some evenings and weekends.

Special Assignments:

KSA's/Required Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent Interpersonal Communication and Organizational Skills
  • Evidence of working on detail-oriented projects
  • Evidence of Working with students in a higher education setting


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience using Student Information System (SIS)
  • Understanding of Special Admissions Programs and/or International Students
