Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Compliance & Gift Specialist is responsible for all functions related to charitable gifts received at Eastern Kentucky University to ensure all information processing functions are completed in compliance with University policy, audit requirements, and state and federal legal parameters. Additionally, extensive analysis or reporting processes and best practices are required.

Job Duties:
- 45% - Processes all gifts, pledges, and transactional information to ensure timely and accurate entry of gifts in support of all university funds and ensures timely acknowledgement of all donors. - (Essential)
- 15% - Ensures that all information processing functions are completed in compliance with university policies and procedures, and all external bodies including but not limited to: audit requirements, state and federal tax regulations, and Payment and Industry (PCI). - (Essential)
- 15% - Performs biographical updates to ensure donor database records are up-to-date and consistent. - (Essential)
- 10% - Maintains thorough and up-to-date knowledge of regulations and operating procedures to ensure compliance with EKU Foundation's fund regulations. - (Essential)
- 10% - Develops, analyzes, executes, and ensures compliance with organizational policies, governance structure, regulations and guidelines. Includes, but is not limited to; ensuring database consistency, accuracy, and quality through the review of audit trails and departmental reports; evaluates data integrity reports and recommends changes as needed. - (Essential)
- 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned - (Essential)
