Essential Functions

The Research Associate will report to the Director of the Nonlinear Analysis Core ( NONAN ). This personnel performs:
· Time series analysis and statistical modeling of clinical and healthy populations.
· Administrative and regulatory policies related to research results and NIH reporting.
· Applying to significant federal grant funding.
· Publishing validation studies involving time series methods
· Developing new nonlinear time series analysis and reporting methods.
· Supervise software development for the Nonlinear Analysis Core Library.
· Training of new staff and/or graduate students.

Additional Duties

The above list of duties is not exhaustive. The incumbent will be required to undertake tasks that are reasonably expected within the scope of the position. Examples of additional tasks include:
· Creating analysis software using a mixture of the following: MATLAB, Visual 3D, Python, R, and C++.
· Creating and updating standard operating procedure manuals.
· Recruiting and scheduling experimental subjects.
· Independently troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
· Other duties as assigned by the NONAN Director.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in Biomechanics, Psychology, Neuroscience, Engineering, Computer Science, Kinesiology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Engineering, Biomechanics, or Psychology with experience applying nonlinear time series analysis to human time series data, broadly defined.
