Essential Functions

The Department of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis ( ISQA ) anticipates multiple positions for Assistant/Associate Professor with a desired start date of August 2023. The positions are open to all research areas. A strong candidate will be a highly qualified teacher and researcher in the complex information environments that characterize today’s organizations and societies. Areas of research interest include digital transformation, data analytics and data engineering, organizational technologies, health informatics, human-computer interaction, or social computing. The candidate should possess strong teaching and technical expertise in one or more areas that are central to information systems and quantitative analysis, such as information systems development, business intelligence, IT infrastructure, data analytics, data engineering, data governance, or machine learning.

Additional Duties

The new faculty member will be expected to establish or continue a research program within their area of specialization, seek grant funding, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in partnerships with the community. Faculty will teach using multiple modes of instruction, such as in-person, remote, or hybrid. Contributions to service within the university, business and/or professional areas are expected.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess an appropriate doctorate or ABD in Information Systems, or related disciplines including Information Technology, Information Science, Information and Communication Technology for Development, Human Centered Computing, Human Computer Interaction, Data Science, or Information Management, from a nationally recognized program.

Preferred Qualifications

The department is seeking strong candidates with research and teaching interests in information systems or quantitative analysis who can demonstrate a combination of technical and managerial breadth. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion goals in scholarship, teaching, engagement, and/or personal behavior. Professional experience is desired.
