Essential Functions
Enhance the academic development of program participants by providing individual and group instruction and mentoring. Conduct small group and individual instructional sessions to help program participants’ master skills necessary to successfully complete university course requirements. Conduct needs assessments as appropriate. Provide academic and course advising. Assist program participants in preparation for placement exams. Consult with faculty and program staff regarding progress of participants. Maintain a database appropriate for collecting and analyzing student data for staff, departmental, institutional and federal reporting. Serve on assigned university committees and other related projects as appointed by the Director.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 8 - 5 (occasional evenings and weekends)

Additional Duties
- Meet with students for academic advising, consultation, conducting individual and group instructional sessions to prepare students for participation in course work.
- Provide instruction/tutoring related to English and Writing.
- Scholarship Goal Setting – Work with assigned students to set academic goals and apply for the William and Ruth Scott Scholarship.
- Teach a section of English Composition.
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Three years experience working with TriO, College Readiness, Student Counseling, College Advising, College Bound, Student Affairs and/or Mentoring Programs;
- Flexibility, strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills, as well as a positive attitude, are key to being successful within this student-centered and team-oriented environment.
