Under general supervision serves as an integral thought leader as part of the CTO’s leadership team, this position will plan, direct, and manage the Enterprise Applications Team to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective enterprise systems, applications, integration, data management, and reporting solutions to meet the instructional and operational needs of the university.

Essential Duties Summary
  • Partners with campus stakeholders to assess, prioritize, and manage stakeholder needs regarding the ERP (Banner), CRM (Slate), and other administrative applications to ensure system investments meet business requirements.
  • Manage implementation and integration of system and technology initiatives, in alignment with strategic and operational goals.
  • Requirements/Documentation – Ensures that all stakeholders’ requirements are documented and captured to accurately account for feasibility, process work-flow, costs, and budgeting.
  • Reviews and approves all systems development project requests, and coordinates schedules and related departmental activities.
  • Provides overall direction and guidance to assigned project team members; supervises professional staff.
  • Prepares activity and progress reports regarding all systems analysis and programming areas.
  • Collaborates with other Information Technology management staff regarding enterprise and system-wide computer architecture, capacity, planning, security and usage.
  • Provides a significant level of input regarding hiring/termination decisions, performance management, salary increases and disciplinary actions and/or budget management.
  • Provides input in the administration of related budgets.
  • Responsible for establishing job standards for subordinate staff and effectively evaluating staff under charge. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range
$123,467.00 - $160,508.00

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or closely related discipline.

Master’s degree (M.S. or M.B.A.) preferred.

Required Licensing/Certification

None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:
  • Implementing and managing higher education administrative systems (preferably Ellucian Banner, Slate, Course Leaf, etc…).
  • Policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Complex systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge in multiple disciplines. Acts as the ultimate subject matter expert in several professional disciplines and is the “go-to” expert on principles, methods and procedures. Requires the ability to create methods and approaches to handle unique situations.
  • Recent industry trends and standards and future directions of technology in the learning environment, office administration, and ability to effectively advocate for new ideas.
