Financial Aid Associate: Associate Director - System Development

  • Responsibilities:
    A Financial Aid Associate: Director typically:
    1. Supervises administrative team including Account Associate and Financial Aid Associate: Assistant
    Director
    2. Provides executive support to the Director, and acts as representative in their absence.
    3. Oversees the supervision/training of new staff on Federal Student Aid Programs.
    4. develops, proposes and implements financial aid programs; initiatives and identifies funding for new
    programs;
    5. Prepares administrative budget requests and reports for Federal Student Aid programs.
    6. Creates and implements policies and procedures regarding the distribution and management of all
    Federal Student Aid programs.
    7. Analyzes Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) federal regulations and standards; establishes the
    University's SAP policies and procedures; chairs the SAP appeal committee; supervises a graduate
    student; educates university faculty and advisers to facilitate academic advising.
    8. Evaluates office needs for staff training, discipline, professional development, and organization as
    part of an administrative team.
    9. Serves as Chair on internal committees.
    10. Monitors federal laws and regulations and implements operational changes to meet compliance
    regulations.
    11. Acts as representative for the department by attending professional conferences.
  • Required Qualifications:
    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:
    1. Bachelor's degree in business, communications, humanities, social sciences, or a closely related field
    to the position.
    2. Five (5) years of experience in a technology related field.
    3. Two (2) years of financial aid experience.
    4. Three (3) years of experience in program administration and/or supervision.
    *Note Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted
    for one (1) year of work experience.
    *Note Two (2) years of additional technology related experience may be substituted for financial aid
    experience.
  • Starting Salary: $6,091 /Monthly
