Job Details

Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for Accounts Services Supervisor, Student Financial Services. The Accounts Services Supervisor is responsible for auditing, evaluating and reconciling accounting activity between student financial services and third party service providers.  The position reviews and oversees results of work performed to ensure regulatory compliance and investigates and resolves student financial related issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the assignment of workload among staff, approves payroll and completes annual performance evaluations Investigates and resolves student financial issues
  • Analyzes audit and reconciles accounting activity between MDC financial records and third party service providers
  • Examines and analyzes system generated reports and corrects data, as needed
  • Reviews and oversees results of work performed to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize and/or eliminate audit findings Serves as liaison between students, third party and administration
  • Manages and supervises the effective recovery of funds owed to the College Coordinates collection agency referral and collections
  • Evaluates & implements internal processes that comply with current Federal and State regulations to maximize collection returns
  • Provides system training for financial processes Advises students on Federal, State regulations and College policy as applied to loans and other accounts receivables.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field and one (1) year of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field and five (5) years of related experience All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
