The School of the Arts and Communication is seeking candidates for Equipment Coordinator role.

The Equipment Coordinator is a part-time position that will support the students, faculty, facilities, and equipment for the School of the Arts and Communication. The primary department served by this position is Communication Studies, which is housed in Kendall Hall. This is a one-semester temporary that would be ideal for a recent graduate.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Will manage the operations of the equipment distribution room located in Kendall Hall for the Communication Studies department

  • Will train, schedule and supervise student employees working in the equipment distribution room

  • Will troubleshoot issues with clients checking out equipment

  • Will assist clients in the proper operation of audio/visual equipment

  • Will maintain inventory of equipment using current distribution software

  • Will provide weekly reports of issues including but not limited to damage, loss, theft of resources, equipment scheduling issues, student scheduling issues, equipment malfunctions or insufficient equipment availability

  • Will provide quality control of customer service

Required Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have customer service experience

  • Ability to learn and use specialized scheduling software

  • Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Candidate must possess a bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience and proficiency in the use of audio/visual equipment is important
