Visiting Assistant Professor, Shakespeare and Renaissance
Literature and Culture
The English Department at Williams College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Shakespeare and Renaissance literature and culture, for the 2023-24 academic year. Research and teaching interests including, but not limited to, comparative literature, aesthetics, the relationship between history and form, poetics and rhetoric, embodiment, and race, gender, and sexuality are welcome. Teaching responsibilities include a 2-2 teaching load. Candidates should be prepared to teach two advanced courses in their area of specialization in addition to introductory courses focused on Shakespeare and the Renaissance era.
