Assistant/Associate Professor of Data Analytics

The College of Business, Communication, and Technology at Missouri Southern State University invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Data Analytics to begin fall 2023.

Candidates will possess an earned doctorate in an analytic discipline (e.g. analytics, data science, computer science, etc.) no later than August 1, 2023 (ABD candidates may be considered for a visiting position). The successful candidate will primarily teach graduate courses in data analytics and have a working knowledge of both Python and R. Experience in statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning are also preferred. Instructional delivery may occur through traditional, on-line, and alternative instructional methods. This position will interact with students and the broader business community through teaching and service. Demonstrated ability to work with and/or knowledge of diverse populations is preferred. The successful candidate will engage in an active program of scholarship that results in quality, peer reviewed journal articles.

Joplin schools and those in the nearby communities are some of the most recognized and respected schools in the state. There is quick and easy access to Northwest Arkansas, Kansas City, and Tulsa, as well as numerous outdoor activities and attractions throughout the Ozarks.
