The new Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) will serve as the chief strategic enrollment officer for the University. In collaboration with institutional leadership, and the greater East Central University community, the VPEM establishes realistic yet ambitious enrollment targets and leads the implementation of modern and measurable growth strategies for ECU. These strategies need to account for the University's strategic and financial plan.

This position is responsible for providing executive leadership to the Division of Enrollment Management including the offices of Admissions and Recruitment, with the potential to take on additional areas in the future. Reporting directly to the President, the VPEM contributes directly and meaningfully to the overall success of the University in fulfilling its mission, vision and strategy. The VPEM will also provide assistance, counsel and support to the President as a member of the President's Cabinet.

 

  • Provides oversight of the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Works with the President and Executive Cabinet to determine financial aid leveraging strategy Assists with the development and implementation of a university-wide strategic enrollment management plan to meet objectives for first year and transfer student enrollment. Develops recruitment and admission initiatives to meet enrollment targets. Coordinates marketing strategies with the VP for Institutional Advancement. Regularly analyze data, enrollment trends and national demographics to shape, guide and direct enrollment planning and objectives. Develops collaborative relationships with members of the campus community, creating partnerships with various constituents regarding recruiting and retaining students. Develops comprehensive messaging to students and families at all stages of the enrollment process. Promotes personal interactions with prospective students and their families by involving members of the university community. Provides regular communication to the university community regarding on-campus events and enrollment trends. Develops reporting and analytics including use of the Slate CRM. Oversees territory management through dedicated admissions counseling staff. Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff members and student workers.

    Required Education & Experience: Master's degree from an accredited college or university required with a doctorate preferred; Proven record of progressively responsible experience within leadership roles in enrollment management with demonstrated experience in enrollment services in a higher education institution with comparable size and complexity; prior work with both adult learner enrollment and traditional age enrollment.
