Job Summary:

TEMP POSITION

The Associate Director, School of Public and Global Affairs reports directly to the Director, School of Public and Global Affairs and is primarily involved with the department’s academic and administrative matters relating to faculty, off-campus site development, marketing, and public/private partnerships. The Associate Director is a significant part of the School’s management team.

Required Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applied experience in program development and delivery, in either a university/college setting or in corporate training.
2. Five years of full-time experience in adult program administration including cost/benefit analysis, marketing, new program development and staff supervision.
3. Ability to collaborate with faculty and administrators in the School of Public and Global Affairs as well as with faculty and administrators in other Colleges in the University.
4. Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Proficiency with computerized systems for word processing, spreadsheets and data management applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required. Knowledge of Ellucian preferred.
6. Ability to develop and maintain positive and ongoing relationships with School of Public and Global Affairs faculty and administrators.

7. Valid driver’s license and accessibility to transportation for travel between campuses and to numerous off-campus locations.
8. Willingness and ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
9. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
