A successful candidate will play an active role in FMU's existing academic and operational success. IT Professional with experience providing customer support, hands-on and remote access support, and desktop support. Experience with Audio Visual equipment installation, maintenance, and support. Ensures all supported systems and applications within the university campus are working as intended. Works to resolve business issues and strives toward improving efficiency and delivery times and interfaces directly with end-users to resolve technical and business issues. Handles complex assignments, coordinates and/or leads projects, and provides technical guidance to others. This customer-centric role is responsible to deliver service excellence support to meet the needs of our University community.

Essential Functions
  • Provide A/V Equipment Installation and Maintenance Support throughout the university and partner with Business Leaders as well as team members to ensure that all A/V-related equipment and software are functioning correctly.
  • Ensure the operation of audio, video, lighting, and multimedia for events. Set up and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment including computers, video projectors, microphones, sound systems, and lighting.
  • Provide walk-throughs and training to customers in the use of audio, video, and multi-media computer equipment including integrated equipment.
  • Support audio and visual programming, implementation, and troubleshooting for the university to include but not limited to video wall displays, campus televisions, adjusting sound levels, and music programming on-site.
  • Coordinate and facilitate audio-visual resources with external customers and media, including facilitating live-stream videos, recordings, and news feeds.
  • Help troubleshoot all network and wireless connectivity issues for the university.
  • Review networks for security vulnerabilities and report findings to management.
  • Disable accounts for retired end-users that have separated from the customer.
  • Deploy, re-image, repair, and troubleshoot all computer hardware, network, connectivity, and vulnerability issues to meet campus needs.
  • Upgrade operating systems, provide assistance with server support, review networks for security vulnerabilities, and provide feedback to management.
  • Update accounts in Active Directory, including disabling accounts for employees who have separated service.
  • Provide local and remote desktop support to all end-users at assigned, campus sites; provide related subject matter expert consultation to all levels of employees and leaders.
  • Respond to all service requests and efficiently complete all tickets assigned through any applicable ticketing systems; address escalated and/or complex service requests.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or deemed appropriate to the accomplishments of the responsibilities and functions of the Human Resources department.
  • The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working Knowledge of Networking Principles, Active Directory, Network Connectivity, Wifi, and Network Cabling Principles.
  • Ability to change and reset passwords, and set up user access, and security.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct printing issues.
  • Ability to set up and control AV equipment.
  • Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, initiative, resourcefulness, and personal accountability.
  • Effective analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and time management skills. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse constituents.
  • Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment is extremely important as well as dependability.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling objects of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Qualifications
  • The position requires a bachelor's Degree with IT & AV experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and LinkedIn Learning, as well as knowledge and understanding of the organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Familiar with the Jenzabar technology suite for higher education.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
  • Pre-Employment screening is required: criminal background check and drug testing.
