Major/Essential Functions

The Department of Pharmacy Practice seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member within the Ambulatory Care Division based on our Amarillo campus. The faculty member will provide comprehensive medication management services for patients with chronic diseases at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Internal Medicine clinic. The School of Pharmacy has partnered with the Department of Internal Medicine for more than 20 years to provide outstanding patient care through team-based collaborative drug therapy management and educational programs for the patients and resident physicians. We seek to expand our clinical services to include transitions of care for patients discharged from our inpatient partner institution at the Northwest Texas Healthcare System Hospital. The faculty member's teaching responsibilities will include didactic, laboratory, case/simulation-based, and experiential teaching within the School of Pharmacy curriculum. The faculty member will also engage in scholarship and service and will be expected to train pharmacy residents.

Doctor of Pharmacy degree with a PGY2 residency in Ambulatory Care or equivalent experience

Licensure or eligibility to be licensed in the state of Texas.
