Major/Essential Functions
The Department of Pharmacy Practice seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track geriatrics faculty member within the Geriatrics-Pediatrics Division on our Amarillo campus. The faculty member's teaching responsibilities will include didactic, laboratory, case/simulation-based, and experiential teaching within the School of Pharmacy curriculum. The faculty member will provide geriatric clinical pharmacy services at the Jan Werner Daycare Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) program providing patient care and experiential teaching. The position is a calendar year (12-month) appointment and is school-funded. Jan Werner is devoted to making life better for seniors and disabled adults during the day, using a team-based care approach. The staff at Jan Werner has provided leadership and innovation in developing services for the people they serve. These services were created through the efforts of community leader visionaries focused on providing quality home and community care options that help participants stay independent longer. Clinical pharmacy services are an integral component of these services.
