Position Description

The Office of Admissions invites applications for a Transfer Admissions Counselor who will be responsible for obtaining the necessary knowledge of all aspects of Rider and acting as a spokesperson for the university according to its missions and expectations. The Transfer Admissions Counselor will also be responsible for counseling prospective transfer students; reviewing applications; making admission decisions; and managing a specific recruitment territory.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid and in good standing driver’s license and automobile
The candidate will have demonstrated exemplary skills in:

Communication – written and spoken
Customer Service
Technology – Slate, Banner, Windows Suite, Google Suite, etc.
Attention to detail
Time management
Public speaking/Presentations
Relationship building

As a Transfer Admissions Counselor, the entire cost of car insurance is reimbursed in 3-month intervals. Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience in higher education, preferably working with transfer students or having worked at a two-year college
  • Bilingual
