The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester. The candidate will be expected to teach Introduction to Psychology, Statistical Methods, and Research Methods with opportunities to teach other courses in a preferred field of study. Interest in teaching Industrial/Organizational Psychology is preferred but not required. Additionally, the person hired will be expected to engage in an active program of scholarship with students, provide academic advisement, advise undergraduate projects, participate in university service, and support a culture of collegiality and civility.
A Ph.D. in Psychology is required. The area of expertise is open. ABD candidates who will have completed their degrees by December 2023 will be considered. Successful candidates should demonstrate a) their ability to teach undergraduate level classes in introductory psychology, statistical and research methods in psychology and/or other courses in an undergraduate psychology program, and b) their ability to maintain an active program of scholarship in the field of psychology. Online teaching experience and field experience in areas of specialization are highly desirable.
