The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science in the Health and Human Performance department. This is a tenure-track position with an anticipated start date of August 2023.

 

The Assistant Professor Health and Human Performance is responsible for teaching department major courses such as: Biomechanics, Anatomical Kinesiology, Human Physiology, Research Methods and may include some of the following courses: Human Nutrition, Injury Prevention and Treatment, and Fitness Testing and Prescription.

Additional department responsibilities include academic advising and involvement in undergraduate research. Those with research experience in Biomechanical Kinesiology are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Completion of a Ph.D. in Exercise Science or related field. An ABD candidate will be considered if near completion.
  • Experience working with an undergraduate population and be willing to engage undergraduates in research lines.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and pedagogical skills.
  • Additional consideration will be granted to those with two or more years’ experience teaching at the university level.
