Job Summary

The position serves as a key member of the Vice President's office by providing administrative and project management support for all campaign activity. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and managing campaign operations and relationships involving CSULB 49er Foundation Board. The Director interacts with high-level donors and handles principal gift prospects. The Director supports the President and CEO and Board Chair partnership in leading The CSULB 49er Foundation.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, complex activities simultaneously.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both internal and external constituents. Highly developed interpersonal communication skills and writing skills to include competence in preparation of correspondence and special reports. Ability to handle senior level confidential and/or related sensitive information. Experience with frequent interaction with people at highest level of a non-profit or university organization, chief executives and/or presidents of said organizations, legislative offices, faculty, administrators, staff, students, parents, and the general public. Ability to handle competing priorities in a complex environment; and ability to thrive in an environment of change. Demonstrated ability to make complex decisions and problem solve. Demonstrated ability to work independently, to take initiative, to recommend modifications or improvements to policies and procedures and to implement those modifications. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously, determine the relative importance of each, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly. Ability to be service-oriented to ensure all customers (internal and external) have their needs met in an efficient and timely manner. Possess excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of progressively responsible related experience or equivalent administrative experience which has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed above.

Compensation

The hiring salary may be set as high as $9,166 per month, commensurate with experience.

The salary range for this position is $6,286 to $9,429 per month.

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
