Job Summary/Basic Functions

Accepting applications for hiring pool for Bobby Verdugo Bilingual Peer Mentor and Tutoring Center.

Positions include tutoring language students in, but not limited to, French, Japanese, Latin, and/or Spanish classes as needed. This is a Student Employee position for 3-20 hours per week and may start at $7.50 per hour.

This position will require you to work with students reviewing target language and cultural lessons. May also include support time assisting faculty and staff with recruitment, retention, and community outreach. Computer knowledge is helpful as well as familiarity with office equipment. Availability for a variety of shifts, as fits with your schedule. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled at EKU

Job Duties:

• Tutoring language students. - (Essential)
• Assisting faculty and staff in recruitment, retention, and community outreach. - (Essential)
• Computer knowledge and familiarity with office equipment. - (Marginal)

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
