The Baldwin Risk Partners School of Risk Management and Insurance at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, invites applications for a full-time Instructor in Risk Management and Insurance.  The school is located on the Sarasota-Manatee campus. The faculty member will participate as part of the vibrant RMI team across the three campuses of USF (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota-Manatee). Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field or an equivalent degree (e.g., J.D., DBA) from a university accredited in that field. Significant relevant professional work experience is preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to effectively teach courses in risk management and insurance at the undergraduate and graduate levels, both in-person and online.  In addition, candidates should demonstrate a willingness and ability to maintain certification as a Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic under AACSB guidelines. This is a full-time, 9-month position. Compensation for summer courses, when scheduled, is in addition to the base salary.

The Baldwin Risk Partners School of Risk Management and Insurance is implementing a plan to support rapid growth to become the next powerhouse RMI program in the U.S.  The program is seeking to expand to serve a cutting-edge undergraduate program on three campuses (Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee) with graduate offerings in our future.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor. 
2. Meets or can meet the College's criteria for AACSB Scholarly Practitioner or Instructional Practitioner designation.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Significant professional work experience in the risk management and insurance or related field.
2. Evidence of superior teaching ability in risk management and insurance or general business topics at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
3. A Ph.D. in Risk Management and Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field or an equivalent degree (e.g., J.D., DBA) from a university accredited in that field.
4. Meets or can meet the College's criteria for AACSB Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic designation.

Other Qualifications:
1. Evidence of ability to make service contributions to the university and the profession.
2. Expectation that the candidate will be collegial.
3. Reputation of program granting the candidate's degree.
4. Reputation of program(s) and organizations where candidate was previously employed.
