Wabash College Department of Religion invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position in American Religion to begin July 1, 2023. Ph.D. (Visiting Assistant Professor) preferred, A.B.D. (Visiting Instructor) will be considered. Applications are invited from candidates across the range of sub-disciplines and interests in Religion in the United States, including American religious history and sociology of American religion.

The second position is for a one-year visiting position in Biblical Studies to begin July 1, 2023. Ph.D. (Visiting Assistant Professor) preferred, A.B.D. (Visiting Instructor) will be considered. Applications are invited from candidates across the range of sub-disciplines and interests in biblical studies, including historical, literary, social-scientific, theological and comparative approaches. Pending institutional approval, a tenure-track search in the same or a related field is anticipated to being in Fall 2023.

Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of religion courses in a liberal arts college setting, as well as the interdisciplinary all-college freshman course, Enduring Questions. Teaching responsibilities will be three courses a semester and will include opportunities to offer upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of specialty and other courses in the study of religion suitable for an independent liberal arts college (see http://www.wabash.edu/academics/religion).
