Job Description

The School of Information Science and Learning Technologies is seeking an individual to work on a grant funded project developing 3D art and interface design approaches for an innovative 3D virtual learning system for science education. The learning system, called Mission HydroSci (MHS), will help middle school students learn and demonstrate science competencies in a fun, engaging and experiential game-based system. This position announcement is for the hiring of a serious game (learning game) 3D art and user-interface development specialist for the Mission HydroSci project. This is specialized professional work involving the application of judgment and problem solving to optimize the learner experience and visual integrity of the game. Position will be responsible for: Performing 3D modeling and interaction work, Assisting project team in defining system requirements and specifications and problem solving for best ways to implement MHS art and interface approaches, And maintaining appropriate documentation on MHS and associated systems.

Salary

$17.43 - $24.82/hour

Shift

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology, Journalism, Art, Graphic Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience writing technical documentation and reports including, but not limited to the following: needs assessment procedures and reports, usability testing plans and reports.
