Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering or other related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years progressive experience in the field of information technology including at least two years of experience in Business and Technology Applications related work; or
• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years progressive experience in the field of information technology including at least two years of experience in Business and Technology Applications related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary mission of the Enterprise Applications Services unit of Information Technology Services is the design, development, implementation, and support of a suite of administrative and academic applications that are mission-critical and widely used throughout the University.

Consulting services are provided to users in assessing different approaches and addressing potential solutions in meeting demands for services. This group is responsible for exploring and implementing evolving technologies that will benefit the academic and administrative mission of the University. Organizational units include application development and management, database management, enterprise imaging, workflow, and security and access privileges.

The IT Manager – Academic/Student Development will serve as the manager of the development group responsible for the areas of Banner Student, Student Accounts, Admissions, Financial Aid, Advancement, and Auxiliary system areas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform research to assist users and/or analysts to implement new technology/software.
  • Work with leadership to direct changes in technology.
  • Plan and organize the work of the group to successfully complete projects requested in a timely manner.
  • Assume decision-making authority on all projects assigned including design, analysis of proposed applications, development, testing, and subsequent implementation.
  • Coordinate efforts with other enterprise application development groups in the implementation and ongoing support of Banner.
  • Using technical skills and knowledge, resolve reported issues or aid analysts in the group in resolving issues.
  • Work closely with key users to understand their needs and be able to recommend and provide solutions in performance of their duties.
Suggested Salary Range
$95,000 - $116,000
