Dean for Memphis College of Urban & Theological Studies (MCUTS)

This position is responsible, under the direction of the President and Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs of Union University, for the overall operations of the Memphis College of Urban and Theological Studies (MCUTS).

The Dean will provide vision, leadership, management, and strategic direction for every aspect of the college’s operations, and develop and administer the college’s budget, curriculum, objectives, and compliance with university and accreditation standards and policies.

The Dean will also engage in direct fund-raising efforts as well as grant solicitation and management in consultation with the university’s institutional advancement office.

Further, this position involves marketing and enrollment management, facilities management, and student safety in consultation with the appropriate departments of the university.

The dean also hires, supervises, and mentors senior-level personnel within the college.
