This position requires a marketing associate who understands both technology and the importance of shaping key messages with the target market in mind. The ideal candidate will need exceptional communication and relationship building skills, as their primary duty will be working with technical subject matter experts and industry partners on researching products, services and processes. As a member of the marketing and product development team, this position will take information learned in meetings with experts, as well as their own market research, and explain technology in a way that anyone can understand the value proposition.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the organization understands business and functional needs of existing and proposed new services.

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external stakeholders to maximize value to MOREnet members- this includes but is not limited to coordination of participation in our events such as Annual Conference and Technical Training Summit. Your presence at these events is crucial.

Contribute to the product development lifecycle by providing a variety of market research- including but not limited to cost estimates, return on investment analysis, business cases, and process documentation.

Ensure priorities of organization’s departments are included in the strategic marketing plan and that all services are properly researched and evaluated.

Represent Marketing and Product Development on the change management team, facilitate the successful implementation and communication of changes in products, services and procedures.

Other duties as needed from team/colleagues.

Salary

$17.43 - $23.00 Commensurate with experience

Shift

40 hours weekly, typically 8-5 Monday-Friday, with flexibility. Remote work is an option on days when projects do not require an in-person presence and incumbent is meeting daily deliverables and quarterly goals.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Marketing or similar.
Proficient with Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work assignments, mange time effectively and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with market research, technology industry and/or value propositions.

Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet) is a member-driven consortium, operating as a separate business unit within the University of Missouri System. They are primarily made up of Missouri's K-12 schools, colleges and universities, public libraries and government organizations. In addition to maintaining a computer network for Internet access to school districts and libraries, they also provide technology consulting, a technology help desk as well as professional development and training, consortium discounts and a la carte services by a team of approximately 80 subject matter experts.
