Job Description:

Center-affiliated faculty are engaged in collaborative research projects on these topics that offer exciting postdoctoral training opportunities. The postdoctoral research associate will work closely with Dr. Tucker and other Center faculty members with active research programs variously funded by CDC, DOD, NIA, NIAAA, NCI, NIDA, NIMHD, NHLBI, and SAMSHA (CBEHR Faculty). Center investigators utilize a range of laboratory and field research methods including digital applications. The postdoctoral associate will gain skills and expertise to be successful as an independent investigator through participation in existing and planned research projects, manuscript preparation, grant development, seminars and related educational experiences, supervision of Center research assistants and staff, and other relevant Center and professional service activities.

$53,000

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications include a doctoral degree (or earning the degree by the start date) in psychology, public health, or a related social or behavioral science. Candidates should have demonstrated interest in a research career as an independent investigator and have a record of research productivity as evidenced by research presentations and peer-reviewed publications. Candidates with advanced training in quantitative methods and prior research experience in behavioral economics, substance misuse, other addictive and/or other related risk behaviors (e.g., HIV/sexual risk behaviors) are preferred. Candidates should exhibit excellent communication, project management skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team member. Candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those underrepresented in health-related research, are encouraged to apply.
