Job Description:

A postdoctoral researcher position is available for highly ambitious, independent and motivated candidates to work with a highly collaborative and dynamic environment on biomedical informatics. The postdoc will be working with Dr. Rui Yin (https://rayin-saber.github.io/yinrui.github.io/) on different topics, e.g., machine learning to facilitate rare diseases diagnosis, genomic analysis, RNA viruses modeling, etc., within the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (https://hobi.med.ufl.edu/). The Postdoctoral Researcher will work with a team of data scientists, clinicians, bioinformaticians and computer scientists. Team activities will include but not limited to data collection and preprocessing, predictive model construction, genomic analysis, writing manuscripts, and engage in grants writing.

Expected Salary:

$53,000 to $55,000

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. degree in biomedical informatics, bioinformatics, computer science, electronic/biomedical engineering, mathematics or related majors.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Strong passion and motivation for research with a desire to solve practical biomedical problems. 2. Strong programming and mathematical skills with experience in data mining, machine learning and biomedical informatics. 3. Demonstration of publications, teamwork and communication in English. 4. Experience in genomic analysis
