Job Description

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge. Our portfolio of curricula include Adult MHFA (for adults supporting other adults), Youth MHFA (for adults supporting adolescents), and teen MHFA (for teens supporting their peers). Purpose: As Project Coordinator- MHFA for Schools, you have the opportunity to positively impact the mental health of youth across Missouri by growing the Youth and teen MHFA programs within the school setting. Join our fun, fast-paced team in making a difference.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Project Coordinator- Mental Health First Aid for Schools you will:
  • Communicate: Provide outstanding customer service to schools by answering program questions and connecting schools requesting trainings with local instructors.
  • Coordinate:
  • Organize YMHFA First Aider training logistics including communicating with schools and instructors, ordering materials and processing invoices.
  • Organize tMHFA Instructor Trainings including registration, payment and course details.
  • Coordinate shipment of materials to tMHFA sites.
  • Track data for grant funding purposes.
Support:
  • Answer program questions for prospective and current tMHFA sites, helping schools expand the program.
  • Support Youth and teen MHFA instructors by providing fast, friendly customer service.
  • Facilitate (optional): If you enjoy facilitating trainings, you can teach YMHFA courses with the possibility of teaching tMHFA courses based on school need.
Occasional travel may be required.
Remote/hybrid working options available.

Shift

40 hours per week. Typical business hours. Occasional evening or weekend may be required.

Salary

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $17.43 - $24.82 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Mental Health First Aider or Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Past experience working with schools. Prefer St. Louis location, but offsite will be considered.
