Brief Summary of Work for this Position

This position provides secretarial, administrative, research, and technical support to the Abrons Student Health Center staff, including the Director of these services. The incumbent must have excellent customer service and organizational skills and possess the skills and abilities required to manage multiple tasks with sensitivity to confidentiality.

The position must be able to manage staff schedules, coordinate departmental purchasing functions and maintain program supplies, coordinate reservations, catering, and print services orders; maintain the departmental website, process travel, greet and direct students, visitors, faculty, and staff to appropriate office, monitor student timesheets; sort and prioritize mail, direct phone calls to the appropriate office, maintain an effective working relationship with university faculty, staff, students and the general public; work under time constraints, demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable programs and have the ability to learn new software.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or comparable programs and have the ability to learn new software
