Job Description

The Hope College Department of Theatre invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Theatre beginning in Fall 2023. The Theatre Department seeks an experienced teacher/artist to teach performance courses and direct productions in a vibrant program that embraces “Art that makes a difference”. This tenure-track position will potentially teach several levels of acting, directing, musical theatre, and/or theatre history in a NAST accredited B.A. theatre program as well as introductory courses in the college’s General Education program. Terminal degree required with desired experience in college-level teaching, and directing experience in academic and professional theatre. Starting date: August 15, 2023.
