Job Description:

POSITION: Head Coach – Women’s Volleyball

Fairfield University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Coach, Women’s Volleyball.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Coach is responsible for directing all phases of an aspirational Division I women’s volleyball program within the NCAA and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to; the recruitment, development and retention of high caliber, high character student-athletes, practice and game planning and preparation, effective contest scheduling, staff management and development, campus and external engagement, fundraising, and the overall oversight/administration of the Women’s Volleyball program.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Previous head coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Previous Division I coaching experience and experience as a collegiate student-athlete are also preferred. Candidates must demonstrate requisite coaching acumen and track record of success along with effective organizational, management, supervisory, recruitment and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a person of unquestioned integrity and high ethical standards consistent with the University and departmental Mission and Values while exhibiting and fostering a strict adherence to NCAA, Conference, University and departmental rules and regulations.
