Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director for Alumni, the Alumni Industry Outreach Program Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and management of corporate and business-focused alumni relations; on-line learning programs for alumni, and career service coordination. This position will interface with alumni of all ages, corporate representatives and executives, University of Idaho Office of Career Services, University of Idaho Advancement colleagues and University of Idaho leadership team, when appropriate.
This position may be in either Moscow or Boise, Idaho. Teleworking is occasionally permitted if coordinated in advance with management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Combination of professional and/or leadership volunteer experience working in sales, communications or other relationship building role in specific corporations, professional business organizations or higher education that total 3 years.
- Using computer software and applications for word processing,
email, internet searches, and data organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working independently, sharing ideas and progress, and providing weekly updates on progress;
- Experience with on-line mentoring platforms;
- Working knowledge of Idaho corporate landscape;
- Experience working in higher education advancement.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
