Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, or related field, or Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, and eligibility for appropriate licensure in North Carolina.
The successful candidate will be expected to obtain licensure in North Carolina within one year of start date and maintain licensure for the continuation of the appointment.

License/Certification Required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties of the position include short-term individual, group, and couples therapy; psychological assessment; clinical supervision and training of doctoral interns and practicum/externs; crisis intervention; consultation; outreach and psychoeducational workshops (sometimes after hours); case management as needed; liaison/consultant relationships with university partners; and rotating after hours emergency/crisis on call responsibilities as back-up to ProtoCall.
All clinical staff positions involve some administrative duties and roles.
The focus with student athletes and professionals within the Athletic Department includes:

• Provide clinical services to student athletes.
• Build collaborative relationships and provide consultation and mental-health related education/workshops for teams, coaches, athletic trainers, and Athletic Department staff.
• Serve as an active member on the Counseling Center’s Sport and Performance Team as well as on the Athletics Health Care Providers Team.
• Provide mental performance consultations and performance enhancement services to students and teams.
