Medical Sciences (Graduate Studies)
Agnes Scott College invites applications for a part-time faculty
position to teach lecture and/or laboratory courses in its Medical
Sciences programs and related post-baccalaureate programs. These
programs prepare students for medical school and related health
professions. The courses are offered in summer and fall 2023.
Successful applicants may teach one or more courses. Compensation
Competitive candidates will have a terminal degree in a relevant
field in the biological sciences and experience teaching a diverse
student body in the health sciences. Applicants should be able to
teach courses in the biological sciences related to the medical
sciences in the candidate’s specialty among courses including:
Introductory Biology I and II, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Cell
Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. Candidates should show evidence
of excellent and committed teaching, be able to foster student
research, and should demonstrate a commitment to working with a
socially and economically diverse student population.
This part-time position will report to the director of the medical
sciences program. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a
master’s degree in a relevant field and experience teaching a
diverse student body in the health sciences.
