Position Summary:
The Program manager for the professional learning project associated with the Accelerated Math Learning Collaborative is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for all professional development activities and events. The Program manager will design, implement, and manage participant recruitment and on-going retention. The manager manages grant funding, budgets, and data documentation related to the professional development of mathematics teachers in Idaho. The manager designs, organizes, plans, and leads professional development efforts for teachers of mathematics, including all budgetary items, data collection items, and contracts. This person serves as a manager between grant funding agencies, university personnel, and teachers to ensure successful learning experiences for participating teachers of mathematics. The Program Manager reports to the Principal Investigator.

There is a possibility of hybrid work option available with the understanding candidate would need to come into the office sporadically.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, counseling, adult education, educational leadership, mathematics, management, communication or public relations
  • Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
  • Analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives and developing recommendations for management/administrators
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating projects including managing the development of projects, timelines, assessment and reporting
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and public, private, and governmental offices and agencies
  • Editing, proofreading, and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in education, counseling, adult education, mathematics, or a combination of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of teaching or program coordinating experience or equivalent education and experience totaling at least 6 years
  • Experience teaching at K-12 grade levels
  • Experience teaching mathematics (K-12)
  • Experience working in a university setting and coordinating efforts among varying departments and entities
  • Experience providing professional development for practicing mathematics teachers
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
  • Experience writing grant reports and working as a liaison with funding agencies
  • Experience with managing expenditure records and completing purchasing procedures
