The Assistant Director for Strength & Conditioning / Olympic Sports assists all strength and conditioning personnel to implement the strategic plan of strength and conditioning to enhance the student athlete experience of each Olympic Sport athlete within Virginia Tech's Athletic Department. This position will be responsible for assisting in management of all aspects of personnel, facilities and budget matters pertaining to nineteen Olympic Sports. Position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Strength and Conditioning / Olympic Sports.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree and/or Bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports administration or other sports/exercise related field with comparable exercise science experience.
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Strength & conditioning Coach Certified Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
CPR/AED

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in Division 1 collegiate athletics or professional Strength and Conditioning setting as a graduate assistant or coach.
