Job Summary/Basic Functions

Advisor will plan, organize, and facilitate programs to guide students to academic success in a world-class educational K-12 laboratory school environment. Advisor will work with students and others on behalf of students to guide high school, college and career planning, placements and assist in meeting goals and eliminating barriers. Advisor will strive to ensure that each student will grow to his/her greatest intellectual ability, emotional development and psychological well-being. Additionally, the advisor will mentor and instruct university students working and observing at Model for experiential learning assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or above in related field

Experience:

Licensure & Certifications: Kentucky teacher certification for secondary students

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or above in related field with successful experience as a teacher and advisor

Job Duties:

• 45% - Monitor student academic progress and provide guidance toward high school career goals and college placements - (Essential)

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
