Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Master's Degree with a major in nursing required.

Five years experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Two years experience as faculty member in a registered nursing education program.

Current valid, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. Current BCLS certification.

Skill in use of all components of Microsoft Office Software.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous management experience preferred.

Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the nursing programs administrator (NPA), and/or in collaboration with the NPA, the associate nursing programs administrator facilitates the general operations of the nursing programs across all COTC campuses. This includes but is not limited to assisting with: staffing of academic assignments; acquisition of suitable clinical sites; appropriate and timely orientation of faculty and students to the clinical sites; enforcement of student policies; meeting with students to address individual needs or concerns; regulatory and accreditation compliance; assisting with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and orientation of qualified nursing faculty; mentoring and overseeing orientation for new part-time clinical faculty and teaching assistants; maintaining contact with all part-time clinical faculty and teaching assistants and documenting interactions and outcomes; and ensuring ongoing evaluation of adjunct faculty.

The associate nursing program administrator also: contributes to the development of the annual academic schedule; recommends faculty (full and part-time) that are appropriately credentialed to teach courses within the nursing programs; and reviews data regarding student and faculty satisfaction with clinical experience and compiles data for presentation to and action by faculty. In collaboration with the NPA, the associate NPA negotiates clinical sites to meet changing program and student learning needs and ensures that all agreements with clinical affiliates are current and complete. The associate NPA serves as a liaison with clinical affiliates to assure positive relationships between the agencies and COTC and represents the college at clinical agency meetings as appropriate.

The associate NPA maintains instructional assignments as assigned by the NPA and represents the nursing department and the college at statewide meetings and organizations that promote nursing education.
