President
Manchester University invites nominations and applications for the position of President. Manchester is an independent, coeducational institution rooted in the liberal arts and sciences as well as the traditions and values of the Church of the Brethren, an historic peace church. The University is emerging as a regional powerhouse in Northeast Indiana, enrolling 1,300 students from 21 states and four countries on two campuses, approximately 900 in North Manchester and 400 in Fort Wayne.

Since its founding in 1889, Manchester has prepared graduates to serve humanity through
a broad range of academic programs. Until the past decade, it was primarily an undergraduate
institution located on a single campus in North Manchester, Indiana. In 2012, Manchester built a
second campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where it launched a Doctor of Pharmacy program. Manchester is home to the world's first peace studies major (1948) and the nation's first master's in pharmacogenomics (2016). Recently launched programs include digital media arts, nursing, nutrition and nutrigenomics, and physical therapy. A planned $20 million expansion of Manchester University Fort Wayne will support current and future health science programs.

Manchester's more than 70 academic programs are offered across four colleges, including the College of Business, the College of Pharmacy, Natural and Health Sciences, the College of Education and Social Sciences, and the College of Arts and Humanities. It is well known for its undergraduate programs in accounting and business, the natural sciences, psychology, exercise science and fitness, and peace studies. Emerging and growing programs include sport management, digital media, nursing, and criminology. The University's undergraduate programs are located primarily in North Manchester, Indiana, where 76 percent of the students live on the 120-acre campus. The Doctor of Pharmacy program and Doctor of Physical Therapy program, as well as the Athletic Training and Pharmacogenomics master's programs are on the Fort Wayne campus. Nursing courses are offered on both campuses. Several programs offer completely or nearly completely online options, including pharmacogenomics and pharmacy.

The University is seeking an innovative and passionate champion of liberal arts and sciences and professional education who embraces the distinctive history, ethos, and mission of Manchester University. The next president will lead the University through rapid institutional change and a still evolving two-campus culture; inspire optimism and rally faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and community members to the shared work of building an exciting future for Manchester University.
