Position Summary

Dallas College is seeking an experienced, highly collaborative leader with a proven record of enhancing academic quality, leadership excellence, diversity, equity and inclusion, and student success in a dynamic higher education environment. The Director of Accreditation and Quality Assurance reports to the Deputy Chief of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation and performs accreditation and quality assurance functions for Dallas College.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision of Dallas College.
  • Ability to plan and implement projects which are tied to the organization’s strategic plan to accomplish the vision, mission, and goals of the organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of higher education accreditation standards and compliance
  • Ability to use independent judgement as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and transparent environment.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently, and work within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically and innovatively, creating realistic plans and workflows

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible higher education administrative and leadership experience.
  • Current and valid Texas driver’s license required

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality written projects, reports, prospectuses, and summaries from conception to completion to support Dallas College’s accreditation processes and compliance
  • Identify gaps in compliance with accreditation standards and recommend corrective solutions
  • Support the development of college leaders and staff in maintaining compliance within their areas of responsibility
  • Ensure the college engages in systematic, robust documentation of its adherence to policies, processes, and procedures
  • Assist the Chief and Deputy Chief of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation by providing research, analysis, and organizational support for accreditation compliance
  • Write, edit, and prepare comprehensive accreditation compliance prospectuses and reports for Dallas College
  • Research, analyze, and support accreditation activities across Dallas College
  • Conduct accreditation risk analysis, broadly communicates potential risks, and implements risk mitigation strategies as appropriate
  • Provide training and consultation to appropriate administrators, faculty, and staff regarding accreditation requirements, standards, and guidelines
  • Recommend development and modification of college policies and procedures in support of regional accreditation policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Serve on the QEP Team and the SACSCOC Leadership Team
  • Supervise the Accreditation Manager
